• James D. Ruchti

    James D. Ruchti has spent his entire adult life in public service. He earned his undergraduate degree from West Point in 1993. Commissioned into the Army from the Academy, James served as a Military Intelligence Officer from 1993 to 1998, serving in Kuwait, Jordan, Germany, Arizona, and Georgia. He reached the rank of Captain before leaving the military to pursue a law degree. In 2001, James received his law degree from the University of Idaho, where he won the Conrad B. Duberstein National Moot Court Competition. Following graduation from law school, he served for one year as a law clerk to the Honorable B. Lynn Winmill, United States District Judge for the District of Idaho. As an attorney, James has always been deeply committed to law and public policy. He was elected to the Idaho legislature in 2006.   • Joel A. Beck

    Joel attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998 in Communication with a minor in Spanish. After attending the University of Utah, he attended the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow, Idaho, graduating with the class of 2002. While attending law school, he was a member of the Idaho Law Review and authored a law review article which was published in the Law Review Journal in 2001. He has been selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates as a Top 40 Litigation Lawyer Under 40 in the State of Idaho, and the Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys Under 40 for the State of Idaho by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.   • David Hargraves

    Attorney David Hargraves joined Ruchti & Beck in 2012 and focuses on injury law, workers compensation, estate and business planning, and probate. David completed his undergraduate education at the University of Utah in 1995 and was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy. After four years of active duty service, David attended law school at the University of Idaho where he graduated in 2002. Prior to joining Ruchti & Beck, David worked for two years as a law clerk for Judge Perry at the Idaho Court of Appeals and spent the next eight years handling civil and criminal matters as a deputy prosecutor in Gem County.
